Generative AI reached 100 million monthly active users in January 2023, just two months after launch, making it the fastest-growing consumer application in history.   • Use of the DeltaLake format at its core: It adopts the use of the leading open-source storage format, allowing data to be stored once and used by a wide ecosystem of tools, such as Databricks.
  • A central home for data using OneLake: Simplifies the centralisation of data. With functionality such as shortcuts and mirroring, it allows you to get your data in one place, fast.  
  • Analyse data directly from the Lake using DirectLake: Power BI can now analyse data directly from the Delta Lake files without having to import it into the Power BI model. This significantly simplifies implementations.

LakeFlow Accelerator

Our Accelerator “LakeFlow” is a service providing data engineering at its best. Combined with our processes, automation and experience we can stand-up and maintain a data estate 50% faster than traditional manual techniques. LakeFlow creates reliable, consistent, and monitored solutions automatically. This service has now been updated to support Fabric.  

We’re excited to announce that in the near future, LakeFlow will ship with Generative AI capabilities, allowing us to accelerate the creation of data estates to be even quicker. Watch this space for further announcements.
